As I told Zhenya...we have three more sleeps and then we leave for America. He asked me everyday when we are leaving for America. He continues to be so excited about almost everything we do. Yesterday, we met two sweet American women, Tara and her friend, who gave us clothes for the children to keep us from having to buy new clothes. It was very sweet of them to take time out of their day and some meet us in town. Kiev is a huge city...kind of reminds me of New York. They were also sweet enough to introduce us to the Metro. The kids had a blast riding the extremely long escalator down to the metro. We rode three stops with Tara and then got off and rode our three stops back. It was funny for us and the kids.
We went for the children's medical exams today. They didn't tell us anything we didn't already know or that I hadn't figured out. Zhenya is completely healthy other than an upper respiratory thing...still coughing a bit. Leeza has some issues with her skin..which we knew and could see...she also has some speech delays which I figured out right away when we were teaching her to say her numbers. She needs a lot of dental work...also obvious and the doctor said we need to take her to a neurologist for the tremors. We knew all of this...but it had to be done. We notice that Leeza only has the tremors when she is nervous or focusing really hard on a fine motor task. She pretty clumsy too....we knew from the beginning that there were some issues with her that needed to be taken care of once we get her home. We don't care though...she is our girl and we will deal with whatever lies ahead!
Tomorrow we are going for the visas and then Wednesday we are going to explore more of Kiev and pack up. Heading home on Thursday!! Yay!!!
Thanks for the continued prayers and emails/comments. We appreciate hearing from home!

That's so awesome that you got to meet up with Tara and get some insider's help in navigating the city.
