God's calling-Russia

Since the adoption of our children, our lives have not been the same.  We fell in love with the people of Ukraine and Russia.  We met and befriended many Russians while in Ochakiv.  Our hearts were torn by the sadness and despair we heard in their voices and saw in their lives.  Not only do we desire to help orphans, but we long to touch the lives of the people in Ukraine and Russia.  So we moved off to Colorado Springs for Jeff to attend bible college and receive training to go do what we feel God is calling us to do.  Now we are back in Tennessee, and our heart is still longing to "GO".

The plan:  Travel to Moscow, Russia around June 19, 2014 for about 10 days.  Follow God's leading to touch the lives of those in Russia.  Meet Zhenya and Leeza's aunt who lives in Moscow.

Jeff made a fabulous connection with an American family who has lived and ministered in Russia for years. We had been kind of waiting and hoping to have an organization we could partner with and send us, but God clearly spoke with to us and told us to stop waiting and to go.  Our church is VERY missions focused, and we are hoping our pastor can go with us.

We are in prayer for God's continued leading and guidance as well as the finances to come in.  It is amusing to me that God supplied thousands and thousands of dollars to us to adopt our kiddos, and I am thinking the amount we need for 4 plane tickets is a lot of money!!  If God is calling us to go, then he is going to provide.   We plan to use this blog to share about our upcoming trip and any other trips we plan.
Please be in prayer for us as we prepare to go and raise funds.
