Fingerprinting
We are excited, because we got our letters with our USCIS( immigration)biometric fingerprint appointment date!! We go on April 8th at 1pm! We are one step closer to getting our children! Now if I can wait patiently for April 8th and continue to wait patiently for our approval from Immigration after the fingerprinting. Oh waiting.........how I dislike waiting!

God is Faithful!
We got back from Kansas City, Missouri tonight after three days of rummage sale. We are totally blown away! When we arrived there was so much stuff that had been donated and were told that some stuff had already been purchased. We worked hard all day selling items and food. We were astonished to count the end of the first day total to be around $1200. As stuff was selling each day, more people brought stuff in. The room stayed full most of the weekend and people were buying loads of stuff!!! We felt so blessed when people would just hand us a donation or tell us to keep the change from their purchase. In the end, the sale brought in over $2400!!
We can not express enough how much we appreciate our friends ,Eric and Sophia, who organized this sale. The generous people of Westline, Missouri are also a blessing to us. Other great friends (Bill and Curtis..to name a couple) made a tremendous difference in making this sale successful. We feel like we can't thank them all enough. We also received a generous donation from a lady after she heard the powerpoint presentation Sophia presented on our behalf to her ladies' group. We are also thankful for Jeff's sister Sandy who came every day to help out!! Most of all, we thank God for providing the money we needed at exactly the right time. Since the homestudy is now finished, we have a payment to our placing agency due. We had no idea where that money was going to come from and now we have enough for that payment plus some for the next payment which will be due when we submit our dossier. I was so excited to get to raise the total on our fundraising thermometer by over $2400!!! It feels great to see it go up!
We are still waiting on our appointment date for our fingerprints for Immigration. We got a letter today and I was so excited, but it was only another confirmation letter. We received a confirmation letter last week, so I am not sure why we got another one. This one was not as official looking as the other one. Sooo anyway, we wait for the letter from Homeland Security. After we get fingerprinted, there will be more waiting! Waiting has never been my strength. However, God is faithful and He will help me get through it! All in his timing!

Yay!!!
I am doing cartwheels around the house! Our homestudy visits are FINALLY completed. After 5 rescheduled appointment, it is finally over. This process is certainly a test of my patience and trust in God. This is just the beginning! Adoption is not an easy process and full of the unknown. I am not exactly sure what is next, other than assembling our dossier which includes our homestudy and various other documents. We are currently waiting on a letter from Immigration/Department of Homeland Security giving us our appointment date for fingerprints. We should get that letter this week or early next week if the timeline is consistent with others I have talked with. Now that our homestudy is finished we are in the hands of our placing agency, Lifeline Children's Services. They will help us assemble our dossier and sent it to Ukraine. We are very excited to be finished with one very important phase of the adoption.
On the fundraiser front, we had our Chick-Fil A Spirit Night on Monday. We had many of our friends come to support us, which was awesome. We are still waiting to hear how much we raised. Next, we are heading to Kansas City for a rummage sale our Missouri friends have organized on our behalf. We are taking some bbq to sell as well. We have also had several people donate to our adoption which continues to touch our heart and we feel so humbled and blessed that others want to help us out in this process. We are praying God's supernatural blessings on their lives. We have several quotes out for catering jobs and it looks like the end of May is going to be super busy for catering. This is a blessing as all the catering jobs we get this year are going to help fund the adoption.
Thanks again to all who have donated and participated in our fundraisers.
